Privacy Policy

1. Applications Covered by This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the following mobile applications developed and distributed by Assistant Sports:

• Assistant Soccer Player
• Soccer Coach Assistant

The applications identified in this Section 1 are referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as the “covered applications.”

Future Assistant Sports applications that are expressly identified as being covered by this Privacy Policy will be added to this list as they become available.

The covered applications are built on a common local-first architecture and share the core privacy and data-handling practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Certain features and types of locally stored information may differ between applications. References to particular features apply only where those features are available in the applicable application.

2. Local-First Design

The covered applications are designed to operate without an Assistant Sports account or sign-in.

Core player-profile, team-management, match-recording, development-analysis, video-evidence, and report-generation features are designed to store information locally on the user’s device rather than transmit that information to Assistant Sports through their core workflows.

In the current versions, the covered applications do not transmit player profiles, team records, recorded sessions, development information, imported videos, or other app-generated player or team records to Assistant Sports servers through their core workflows.

The covered applications do not currently use a remote Assistant Sports user-account system, developer-operated cloud storage, third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics within the apps.

Information that a user enters, records, imports, or generates within a covered application and that remains solely within the application’s local storage is not received by Assistant Sports merely because the information exists within the application.

3. Information Stored Locally

Depending on the application and how it is used, covered applications may store information locally on the user’s device, including:

• Player names, jersey numbers, positions, and profile selections;
• Team and roster information;
• Opponents, competitions, match dates, match formats, and match durations;
• Recorded match events and statistics;
• Roles, role windows, position changes, and position exposure;
• Development reports, trends, progression information, evaluations, and other evidence-based interpretations;
• Imported match-video files and related video information;
• Evidence clips and connections between video and recorded match events; and
• User preferences and application selections.

This information is stored within the applicable application’s local storage environment using device-local storage mechanisms appropriate to the application.

Children and Young People

Assistant Sports applications may be used in connection with players of different ages, including children and young people.

Assistant Sports designs the core application experience around privacy-protective defaults. The current covered applications do not require an Assistant Sports account, do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and do not transmit information from their core player, team, match, development, or video workflows to Assistant Sports.

These core privacy protections apply regardless of the user’s age.

Nothing in this section is intended to limit any rights or protections available under applicable children’s privacy laws.

The current covered applications do not require users to provide their age as part of the core experience.

Users and, where appropriate, parents, legal guardians, coaches, clubs, teams, or other responsible adults should consider the age and circumstances of individuals whose information or media they record, import, retain, export, or share and should ensure that they have appropriate authority to do so.

Assistant Sports does not receive information from the covered applications’ core local workflows merely because information relates to a child or young person or because a parent, guardian, coach, or other person uses an application in connection with them.

4. Information Received by Assistant Sports

Assistant Sports does not receive information that remains solely within the covered applications’ core local workflows.

The current covered applications do not automatically transmit player records, team records, match records, development information, imported videos, or other locally stored core app information to Assistant Sports.

They also do not currently use third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, a remote Assistant Sports user-account system, or developer-operated cloud synchronization.

Assistant Sports may separately receive information that a person chooses to provide directly to us, as described in Section 9.

If the data practices of a covered application materially change in the future, this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures will be reviewed and updated as appropriate.

5. Photos, Videos, and Evidence

Certain covered applications use Apple’s system interfaces to allow users to select and import video or other supported media from their devices.

Selecting or importing media through these features does not, by itself, cause Assistant Sports to receive that media.

Where supported, imported videos and related evidence files may be copied into app-managed local storage so users can connect recorded match events or other development evidence with selected video moments.

Users should import only media they are authorized to use.

Videos and other media may contain images, voices, names, or other information relating to athletes, coaches, spectators, officials, or other individuals.

Users are responsible for determining whether they have appropriate permission or authorization to record, import, retain, export, or share media containing other people.

Particular care should be taken when media depicts children or young people.

6. Reports and User-Initiated Sharing

Certain covered applications can generate development reports, PDF reports, shareable images or cards, or other exportable content.

When a user chooses to share or export content, the user selects the destination or service using Apple’s system sharing features or another user-directed export mechanism.

Assistant Sports does not select the destination and does not automatically receive material merely because a user chooses to share or export it.

Information sent through services such as AirDrop, Messages, Mail, cloud-storage providers, social platforms, or other third-party destinations is governed by the user’s choices and the privacy practices of the selected service.

Users should consider the nature of information being shared, particularly when reports, videos, or other materials contain information relating to children, young people, or other individuals.

7. Apple Services and App Store Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and other services associated with the distribution and operation of Assistant Sports applications through Apple’s platforms.

The covered applications do not receive or store users’ payment-card information.

Other Apple services—including App Store downloads, purchase restoration, device backup, system sharing, and related services—may involve information handled by Apple.

Those activities are governed by Apple’s policies and the user’s Apple Account and device settings.

8. Data Deletion and User Control

Because the current covered applications store their core player and team information locally on the user’s device rather than transmitting that information to Assistant Sports, Assistant Sports generally does not possess a copy of that locally stored information to access, correct, export, or delete on the user’s behalf.

Users can manage locally stored information through the applicable application and their device, subject to the controls available within that application.

Deleting an application may remove locally stored application data from the device, subject to Apple’s operating-system behavior and any information the user has separately backed up, exported, copied, or shared.

Before deleting an application or changing devices, users should save or export any reports, videos, or other information they wish to retain.

Information separately provided directly to Assistant Sports is handled as described below.

9. Information Provided Directly to Assistant Sports

If a person voluntarily contacts Assistant Sports through email, customer support, the Assistant Sports website, or another communication channel, Assistant Sports may receive information contained in that communication.

This may include the person’s name, email address, message, attachments, or other information the person chooses to provide.

Providing this information is voluntary, although Assistant Sports may need certain information to respond to a request or provide requested support.

Assistant Sports may use information provided directly to us to:

• Respond to inquiries and support requests;
• Investigate and address technical issues;
• Maintain appropriate support and business records;
• Protect Assistant Sports, its applications, users, and legal rights;
• Resolve disputes; and
• Meet applicable legal obligations.

Users should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information, player information, or media when contacting Assistant Sports.

Contacting Assistant Sports does not give Assistant Sports access to information that remains solely within a covered application’s local storage.

Retention

Assistant Sports retains personal information provided directly to us for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was provided and for legitimate business, security, dispute-resolution, recordkeeping, and legal-compliance purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, the reason it was provided, and applicable requirements.

Legal Bases Where Applicable

Where applicable law requires Assistant Sports to identify a legal basis for processing personal information that we receive, the applicable basis will depend on the circumstances.

This may include processing necessary to respond to a person’s request or provide a requested service, Assistant Sports’ legitimate interests in operating, supporting, securing, and protecting its services and business, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is the appropriate basis.

10. Privacy Rights and Requests

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, individuals may have rights concerning personal information held by Assistant Sports.

These may include rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; to object to or request restriction of certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or to exercise other rights provided by applicable law.

These rights apply to information Assistant Sports actually possesses.

Assistant Sports generally cannot fulfill a request to access, correct, retrieve, transfer, or delete information that remains solely within a covered application’s local storage because Assistant Sports does not possess or have access to that information.

Privacy questions, requests, or complaints may be submitted using the contact information in Section 14.

We may need to take reasonable steps to verify a request before acting on it.

Where applicable, individuals may also have the right to submit a complaint to the data-protection or privacy authority responsible for their jurisdiction.

11. Security

The covered applications rely on Apple’s application sandbox, operating-system protections, and other applicable device-level protections for information stored locally within the applications.

Users should protect their devices with an appropriate passcode or other available security controls, keep their operating systems reasonably current, and limit access to devices containing player or team records or media involving other people.

No storage method or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. A lost, shared, compromised, or insufficiently protected device may expose information stored on that device.

Users should also consider the security and privacy practices of any third-party service they choose when exporting or sharing information from a covered application.

12. International Availability

The covered applications are made available only in selected App Store countries or regions in which Assistant Sports has determined that the applicable version of the product is appropriate for release.

Availability may differ by application and may change as additional localization, product, legal, regulatory, or operational requirements are addressed.

Language Support and Canada

The current versions of the covered applications are provided in English.

Canada is not included in the initial release.

Assistant Sports intends to consider Canadian availability in a future release only after appropriate French-language support for Québec has been completed and applicable Canadian and Québec requirements for that release have been reviewed.

Assistant Sports may expand application availability and language support to other countries and regions in the future. Applicable privacy disclosures will be reviewed and updated as appropriate in connection with such expansions.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Assistant Sports may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the covered applications, the addition of new Assistant Sports applications, applicable requirements, international availability, or our information practices.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised policy will include a new “Last Updated” date.

If a future version of a covered application introduces materially different data practices, Assistant Sports will review and update this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate.

Future Assistant Sports applications will be covered by this Privacy Policy only when expressly identified as covered applications.

The addition of a future Assistant Sports application to this Privacy Policy does not mean that every feature or locally stored data type described in this Privacy Policy is present in every covered application.
